Chestnut tree seedlings
Chestnut tree seedlings grown in 1 gallon pots. These were grown from seed in rich organic soil by yours truly. Seeds were collected from blight resistant chestnut trees that grow on my property. These trees are never sprayed and are a wonderful addition to a backyard orchard. These trees are prolific producers as they age and easily put off 50-100lbs per tree. It is recommended to plant at LEAST 2 trees ( I recommend 3) close to one another to have successful pollination/harvests so please plan to order at least 2. Trees can grow quick anywhere from 5-7 ft each year but must be protected from deer and other wildlife as immature seedlings/trees. Trees should start to produce nuts anywhere from 3-5 years after planting.
Trees will be available in late May/early June for pickup at the farm stand.
